Sister Dee, as she likes to be called, is a second-generation
product of the Church of God in Christ. Her mother is the late Joan
E. W. Golden (The Golden Girl) who was heard for decades
during the International Holy Convocation of the Church of God in
Christ in Memphis, Tennessee on radio station WLOK 1340AM. Her father
is the late Reverend Artis Golden, former Associate Pastor of the
Central Missionary Baptist Church. She was saved at the age of eleven
at a neighborhood church and received the Holy Ghost at age thirteen
during the Youth Choir altar prayer at Pentecostal Temple.
Her
calling was revealed to her by God through the scripture Jeremiah1:4-.5; 4: "Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 5: Before
I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth
out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet (prophetess)unto the nations."
Sister Joplin received her early training
for ministry at Pentecostal Temple Institutional Church of God in
Christ under the tutelage of her pastor; the late Presiding Bishop
J. O. Patterson Sr. She is a License Evangelist Missionary and has
been active in various facets of ministry having served as a Minister
of Music, Choir Directress, Sunday School Teacher and Usher. Sister
Dee presently serves at her local church as the Founder of W.O.V.E.N.
and President of the Women's Department, Executive Assistant, Sunday
School Teacher and Webmaster. On the District level she serves as
District Missionary of the J. S. Bailey District and served as former
President of the Pastor and Minister's Wives in the Burning Bush District.
On the Jurisdictional level she has served for the past eight
years as one of the instructors for the Missionary Alliance Awareness
Institute (M.A.A.I.) in the First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Michigan
Southwest.
Sister Joplin has been married over 27 years to Elder
Ronald Charles Joplin, Pastor of Greater Light Temple Church of God
in Christ, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Four lovely and anointed
children were born to this union, Karen, Jennifer, Indrea and Aaron.
Evangelist
Joplin is a product of the Memphis Public School system. She
attended Eastern Michigan University and earned an Associate of Science
degree in Computer Technology from State Technical Institute at Memphis.
Sister
Dee is the owner of Alpha & Omega Technologies, LLC and is employed
by the State of Michigan as a Senior Information Technology Programmer
Analyst.
Above all of this she loves the Lord with all her heart,
mind and spirit and has a burning, heartfelt desire to see victory
manifested in the lives of God's people through the ministry that
God has purposed in her life.
